Lucetta Equips Leaders to Lead With Integrity in Eswatini

A lesson at African Christian College changed the way Lucetta Dlamini looked at leadership.

The idea was simple but challenging: everything rises and falls on leadership. For Lucetta, it was an awakening that would shape the work she chose to do long after leaving the classroom.

“After the class lesson, I began to analyse several organisations through the lens of how their leaders performed. I noticed that many missed the point, and their organisations crumbled or declined.”

Rather than simply observing the leadership challenges around her, Lucetta decided to do something about them. Her passion eventually led her to become a facilitator with the John C. Maxwell Transformational Leadership training programme, where she now equips leaders in Eswatini with practical principles for leading with integrity and purpose.

“I love the John C. Maxwell leadership model because it integrates faith and leadership. Its source of leadership comes from the Bible and is largely inspired by Jesus’ model of servant leadership.”

Through her training work, Lucetta has reached leaders in corporate organisations, municipalities and other sectors. Her message is consistent: leadership is not simply about having a position. It is about how people handle the responsibilities entrusted to them.

She challenges participants to lead with honesty and integrity, even when no one is watching, and to see themselves as stewards of whatever God has placed in their hands, whether people, finances, resources, vision, or influence.

A recent training at the Manzini Municipality brought this principle to life as staff were equipped with leadership skills. For Lucetta, such sessions are an opportunity to remind people that leadership extends beyond formal titles. Parents lead families. Employees influence colleagues. Professionals manage resources. Every person has some form of responsibility that requires leadership.

But her work has also opened unexpected doors for evangelism.

“The most exciting experience of my work as a trainer is the evangelistic aspect of it, that as we train, we also preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

On one occasion, a professional soccer player approached Lucetta after a training session and asked to learn more about Christianity. The conversation continued beyond the leadership session, eventually leading to his baptism and becoming part of the Kingdom of God.

Through leadership training, Lucetta is equipping people to serve with greater integrity while creating opportunities for the Gospel to reach places traditional ministry might not.

Lucetta is equipped.

You can become a transformational leader, too!
