African Christian College is pleased to receive official word from the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA), that we have attained full accreditation for our Bachelor of Theology degree programme with majors in Bible & Ministry, Organisational Leadership, and Counselling.
African Christian College has been affiliated with ACTEA since 2011 and has successfully worked through the accrediting process over the past several years. In November 2018, a Visiting Team from the association did a thorough inspection of our curriculum, operations, and finances to ensure we meet accrediting standards as claimed in our self-evaluation report. ACTEA further reviewed and the board granted full accreditation to our Bachelor of Theology degree programme.
Let me officially congratulate African Christian College for receiving full accreditation for its Bachelor of Theology program. Congratulations! We, as the ACTEA office, are delighted to have ACC on board. Welcome to the ACTEA family.
Rev Dr David Tarus, ACTEA Executive Director
Since its founding in 1976, the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) has become widely accepted for its services to theological education in Africa. More than 150 theological colleges and programmes in Africa are now officially affiliated with ACTEA and its globally recognised standards.
Accreditation
This accreditation from ACTEA is for our academic programme: Bachelor of Theology degree with our three majors. This is currently the only academic programme offered by our college.
But it is not our only accreditation.
In 2017, African Christian College was one of only three private higher learning institutions to attain full registration with the Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC), its first year of offering recognition. This reflects the quality and stability of our institution as it seeks to equip students for excellent service in God’s kingdom.
Now, our bachelor’s degree is recognised not only by local governmental authorities for quality, but also by a widely respected Christian theological accrediting body. This double accreditation is a testimony to the excellent education that all of us are committed to offering our students. God is at work at African Christian College.
ACC President Brad Carter
Stepping into the Future
Attaining full accreditation was a primary goal for African Christian College since making the change from being a preacher training school called Manzini Bible School toward becoming a Christian university in 2007.
Since 1967, African Christian College has been equipping Christians for excellent service in God’s Kingdom. And gaining additional accreditation to reflect our commitment to excellence was an important step toward our future vision.
We praise God for answering so many prayers in the approval of African Christian College’s accreditation and we say Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! To all the staff of ACC who have worked so diligently to make this possible. More than a decade ago, our Brother, Ira Hill dreamed a dream of accreditation for ACC which many of us thought was slightly crazy and probably impossible. God has shown again that He is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His Power THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US,” His People, in His Time. Bambalela!
ACC Board Chairperson Larry Harms
African Christian College is working toward becoming a fully residential, university campus with additional accredited faculties and degree programmes to serve the Kingdom of God and Africa into the next fifty years. Regardless of the areas of studies offered at our institution, we seek to maintain our commitment to academic excellence and the development of Christian character, servant leadership, global awareness, and personal resourcefulness into the future.

Dear ACC family, especially to Mr Brad Carter,
Thank you so very much for the enormous achievement. We really thank the Lord.
I personally became a change specialist at ACC and I am proud of it.
“Education means more than a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has do with the whole being, and the whole period of existence possible to man.
It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual power….”
The above state qualifies what ACC is currently doing to Africa.

God leads dreams to reality. All we have to do is trust in him. ACC has gone through lots of transitions since 1967 and God has been faithful through all those times. ACTEA accreditation brings much long awaited joy. I will never forget 12 June 2019 as we got to celebrate such an achievement. GOD IS AT WORK!
