Campus Life

African Christian College is not your normal higher learning institution. We’re committed to YOUR success, to allegiance to King Jesus, and to building a learning community producing graduates ready to transform our world for good.

Why choose African Christian College over your other options? Let’s explore together…

Grow Your Faith

‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ – Jesus (John 8:12)

We proclaim Jesus as King, Messiah, and Lord. Out of this conviction, we approach scholarship, learning, teaching, and life from a solidly Christian perspective. We are Christian scholars and leaders.

Spiritual transformation is integrated into all academic programmes, work, and community life at African Christian College. All followers of King Jesus are welcome.

Join a Diverse Community

A shared ingredient of the African ethic of ubuntu and the Christian faith is living in community. Community, then, must be a central part of a Christian institution in Africa.

Learning is about more than acquiring facts. It’s about discovering who YOU are in community with others. Since community shapes our beliefs, values, and practices, we believe it is an essential part of learning and spiritual formation.

At African Christian College, we study, live, work, play, and worship together as a diverse community. Our typical community is made up of students and staff from over 12 African nations.

Staff and student families live on campus together. Married students must come with their spouse and children under 12 years old. This creates a diverse, multi-generational community.

Work for Your Fees

All students participate in our Work-Study programme in exchange for tuition, housing, and meal fees. Work-Study not only pays fees, but provides a foundation for future success.

Enjoy Quality Facilities

Our campus is well-maintained and suited for study, work, and life together.

Students share bedrooms in private flats and enjoy daily meals in our cafeteria.

The Harms Library provides thousands of resources as well as digital access and WiFi for discovery.

Football and netball pitches, regular aerobic classes, and our large macadamia orchards provide for recreational opportunities.

Explore the Kingdom of Eswatini

Our campus has been located in the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) since 1967. Though it’s small, Eswatini provides a beautiful, culturally-rich location for learning, growing, and enjoying life together.

Eswatini is located between South Africa and Mozambique. African Christian College is centrally-located near the agricultural, industrial, and urban centres of the country. Situated next to Tubungu Township, an upper-class development in Matsapha, our campus is quasi-rural.

‘The lifetime achievement of studying at African Christian College is that I can visit almost any country from Southern and Eastern Africa and find friends. The bond we created while we studied, worshipped, played soccer, ate together, and shared rooms will never be broken. We will always be members of the same family: God’s family.’

– Grevin Khwatenge (2020) / Kenya
