In preparing students for excellent service and leadership throughout Africa, ACC employs some of the brightest Christian educators in Africa. Additionally, we host visiting lecturers who come to our campus to teach mid-mester, module and full-semester courses.
Lecturers
Brad Carter
Brad Carter joined the faculty at African Christian College first as a visiting lecturer in 2011. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas where earned a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry. Brad taught students at ACU for ten years while working in a local congregation and as executive director for a faith-based community development program. He primarily teaches courses in the leadership programme.
In January 2013, Brad was installed by the Board of Trustees as President of the college. He and his wife, Rachael, have three daughters.
Manuel De Oliveira
Manuel and his wife Pam have spent their lifetime as kingdom servants in many countries. They have served at ACC for years with Manuel teaching Bible and Leadership courses and led a church plant in Swaziland’s capital city, Mbabane. Manuel serves as Dean of Students at ACC. He holds a MA in classical Hebrew from University of South Africa. He and his wife Pam have three grown daughters and several precious grandchildren. They both lead with servant hearts.
Bheki Mamba
Bheki Mamba is a native Swazi who has been teaching at African Christian College since 1987. He is a graduate of South Africa Bible College in Benoni and has an Honors Degree with South African Theological Seminary. He is currently working on finishing his Masters with South Africa Theological Seminary. As an ACC adjunct teacher, Bheki teaches Church Planting, Evangelism, and is the long time coordinator of the evangelism program for students. Bheki is the hard-working, people-loving preacher at the Matsapha Church of Christ. His wife, Edith, works diligently with an organized group of church women in Swaziland and is a leader among them. The Mambas love and concern for all makes them a blessing to ACC.
Lynn Rhodes
Lynn Rhodes brings vast experience as a preacher, minister, and professional counsellor in and out of classrooms at African Christian College. Lynn joined as a full-time faculty member in 2012 and teaches general education, counselling courses, spiritual formation, marriage and family and Bible courses. He holds B.A in Bible from Harding University, and M.A in counselling from University of Northern Colorado.
Celeste Jacobs- Richards
Celeste is a private professional Clinical psychologist. She holds a Masters in clinical psychology from Rhodes University. Celeste Joined ACC faculty in July 2014, she teaches Theories of counselling 1 and Trauma Counselling.
Since 2014 she has been volunteering as a psychotherapist at Elusitsweni (Challenge Ministries Swaziland) -residential home for woman with life controlling habits. She is Married to a Swazi English speaking Christian.
