Vacancy: Student Success & Library Coordinator

African Christian College is hiring a Student Success & Library Coordinator to support our students’ academic journey and manage library operations that serve our entire community.

Do you enjoy helping students on their academic journey?

As part of our Academic Team, the Student Success & Library Coordinator manages our Student Success Centre and the Lyle Harms Library at African Christian College.

This role is essential to student academic success. You’ll provide one-on-one support, coach students through academic challenges, and lead workshops on research, writing, public speaking, citations, and effective study habits. You’ll also identify struggling students early and implement targeted interventions to help them thrive.

The Lyle Harms Library at African Christian College is Eswatini’s premier theological library with over 12,000 volumes on the shelves in addition to digital access to millions of academic books and articles in online databases . . . plus a large children’s library for campus families. As Coordinator, you’ll ensure our collection remains relevant and accessible while implementing library best practices for cataloguing, classification, and resource management.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in education and/or library services with a bachelor’s degree (preferably in library science, education, theology, or similar field). You should be detail-oriented, quality-conscious, and an effective communicator in English (both verbal and written). Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a pastoral approach with students are essential.

You must be familiar with academic research and writing, library cataloguing systems (Dewey), and student development principles. Experience supervising others and working collaboratively with academic staff is important.

The successful candidate must embrace a Christian work environment and align with ACC’s Statement of Faith. Preference is given to candidates who are active members of Churches of Christ.
