We are pleased to begin the new year with renewed strategies and the addition of a new leader to strengthen our path forward. African Christian College is delighted to announce the appointment of Mmangaliso Nxumalo as Chief Operations Officer.
Mmangaliso is a father, husband, strategist, and servant leader who has been a friend to the college for many years. He now joins the leadership team with the mandate to help us continue fulfilling our mission of equipping men and women for excellent service in the Kingdom of God.
Born in Eswatini, Mmangaliso moved to South Africa as a teenager after his father, Dr. J.L.M Nxumalo was appointed as a lecturer and specialist at the then Medical University of South Africa (Medunsa). After graduating Mmangaliso continued to build his life in Pretoria, where he and his wife are raising three sons. There he served as a Deacon at Atteridgeville West Church of Christ and has been instrumental in advancing God’s mission in his community.
Professionally, he brings extensive experience in finance, analytics, and strategic operations. His career includes leadership roles at Alexander Forbes, Covision Insurance, Inkunzi Wealth Group, and his own consultancy, Sikhulile Africa. Over the past year, he has served African Christian College as a financial consultant, where his dedication and commitment to both the institution and its mission have made a significant impact. Reflecting on his time here, he noted:

As he assumes this new role, Mmangaliso looks forward to drawing strength from God and working alongside the capable team of staff he will lead. He emphasizes that the greatest asset of the college is its people, whose dedication to the mission continues to drive the institution forward. He hopes to use his skills in strategic thinking, critical analysis, and technology to support the growth and future of the college.
Outside of work and church commitments, Mmangaliso enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and relaxing at home. He is also passionate about sports, including soccer, golf, and hiking. Above all, he values time spent with people, believing that God created us to live and grow together in community.
