Lephline Mahlangu, a 2021 alumna, is harnessing the power of AI to improve lives and transform education.
She is the founder of Khosiwe Digital Holdings, a technology and innovation company dedicated to building intelligent solutions addressing real world challenges. Her journey into entrepreneurship began during one of the most uncertain periods in recent history, the COVID19 pandemic.
Transitioning in the middle of a global crisis required both resilience and faith. Reflecting on that season, Lephline shares, “It was scary for everyone, but one of the things I appreciate most is the courage and trust in God that was cultivated at African Christian College.”
It was this foundation that enabled her to step into the unknown with confidence.
After returning home, Lephline joined Regenesys as a Sales and Marketing Officer. There, she gained valuable insight into the realities faced by working adults pursuing further education. “It was at Regenesys where I saw the struggles parents face in balancing their studies, work demands, and supporting their children with homework,” she explains. This experience sparked a deeper awareness of the gaps in academic support systems.

Having personally experienced the academic rigor of African Christian College, Lephline understood that success in education requires more than attendance. It demands consistent support, time, and intellectual engagement. Yet, for many students, that support is not always available.
This realization led to the creation of Knowla, an AI-powered academic support platform designed to bridge this gap.
“Academic success is not easy,” Lephline notes. “It requires more than just showing up. At times, the people who should support us are not available due to various reasons, and that is a real challenge.”
Knowla addresses this challenge by providing accessible, intelligent academic support across all levels, from early childhood education to university. For younger learners, it functions as a personal AI tutor, available at any time to assist with homework, explain difficult concepts, generate practice quizzes, and support exam preparation. As students progress, the platform adapts to meet more advanced academic needs.
What sets Knowla apart is its holistic approach. It is not only student focused but also integrates support for parents, tutors, and educators, reducing their workload while improving learning outcomes. By bringing these stakeholders together, Knowla fosters a more effective and collaborative learning environment.
Beyond education, Lephline is expanding her vision through several other AI-driven innovations. These include TerraMind, an agricultural intelligence platform offering smart farming insights and crop management solutions; Lift Klub, focused on transport, group travel, and logistics management; and Focus Mind, a platform centered on audiobooks, Bible scriptures, and podcasts.
The goal for Khosiwe Digital Holdings is to build a digital ecosystem of AI solutions that supports every dimension of human progress.”

“Most of these platforms are still in development,” she explains, “but the goal for Khosiwe Digital Holdings is to build a digital ecosystem of AI solutions that supports every dimension of human progress.”
Lephline’s story is a powerful testament to what is possible when faith, education, and innovation intersect. She is not only adapting to a rapidly changing world but actively shaping it, creating solutions that have the potential to transform education and uplift communities.
Her journey stands as an inspiration to many, a reminder that with vision, courage, and a commitment to serve, it is possible to lead meaningful change in the society.
You, too, can become a transformational leader for the Church and the community.
