In a nation with approximately 70,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), only about 1 percent, or roughly 700, are export ready. Standing tall among the seven hundred is African Christian College’s Ukwazi Makadamia. At the 2025 Eswatini International Trade Fair, we proudly witnessed His Excellency Honourable Prime Minister Russel Mmiso Dlamini crown Ukwazi Makadamia as MSME Exporter of the Year 2025.

This award is more than a trophy, it is a testament to vision, hard work, and determination. It reflects the relentless pursuit of excellence by our team, our students, and the broader African Christian College community. While our core mission is to equip men and women for excellent service in the Kingdom of God, this recognition shows that our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom and into every endeavor we pursue.
Becoming an export ready business is not easy. It demands compliance not only with local quality standards but also with rigorous international benchmarks, including Global GAP certification. Achieving this requires careful strategy, investment in growth, and unwavering dedication to safety and quality. This award confirms that our macadamia products meet those global standards, and more importantly, that our people consistently rise to the challenge.
At African Christian College and Ukwazi Makadamia, excellence is not an option, it is our calling.
Ukwazi Makadamia is not just a business; it is a mission driven enterprise. One hundred percent of its profits support the operational costs of African Christian College, making it a vital pillar of sustainability for our institution. Every nut harvested, every bag packed, and every shipment exported contributes directly to advancing Christian education in Eswatini and beyond.
Our employees are not driven merely by a paycheck, but by a shared vision. They understand that their work fuels a mission bigger than themselves, building a legacy that serves God’s Kingdom. This award is, therefore, a recognition of their passion, sacrifice, and resilience.

Students of African Christian College also play a vital role through the work-study program, where they gain hands-on experience in a business operating at global standards. For them, this victory is more than a celebration; it is preparation. They return home after graduation not only with academic training, but also with practical skills, a global mindset, and a lived experience of what it takes to excel.

In true African Christian College spirit, both students and staff celebrated this milestone with jubilation and gratitude. To us, this award is not just about macadamias or exports, it is about faith, excellence, and impact. It affirms that our daily efforts, guided by God’s hand, are making a difference in people’s lives and contributing meaningfully to Eswatini’s economic growth.
As we enjoy this moment, we recommit ourselves to the journey of excellence. Because for us at African Christian College and Ukwazi Makadamia, excellence is not an option, it is our calling.
