African Christian College is hiring an Orchard Operations Manager to serve as the primary leader of macadamia production on our Eswatini campus. Our orchards of 14,000 macadamia trees serve as an essential component of our financial sustainability and operations as a premier institution in the Kingdom.
Are you an experienced Agribusiness project leader?
The Orchard Operations Manager leads our macadamia team and has responsibility to ensure positive outcomes of this agricultural project. This includes proper orchard management that exceeds industry standards and complies with Global GAP; long-term planning & budgeting; people & organisational management; compliance to health & safety standards; and profitable stewardship of resources to ensure ongoing financial sustainability.
The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in agribusiness or project management — including supervisory roles — with a graduate certificate or degree in agribusiness or project/business management. They must be quality conscious, effective communicators (siSwati & English), and able to solve problems and conflict. They should be familiar with best practices in macadamia production, food safety compliance, and people management.
The successful candidate should have citizenship in Eswatini and be willing to join a Christian work environment and community. Preference is given to candidates who are active members of the Church of Christ.
Remuneration is based on bench-marked scales, experience, and education. We have a very low employee turnover rate that reflects our commitment to growth and care of our team and community.
