One of the key reasons I chose to enrol at African Christian College was the Tuition Assurance program. While my passion for studying the Word of God was strong, I faced a significant barrier: the cost of tuition.
When I shared my plans to study in Eswatini with my father, his immediate concern was about how we would manage the expenses. “How are we going to pay for your tuition? You know I can’t afford it,” he said. But when I explained the Work Study programme, a smile of approval spread across his face. He encouraged me: “I cannot stand in your way, my son. Go and be equipped to preach the Word of God.”
Yet, I couldn’t shake my concerns.
What kind of job would I have?
How many hours would I need to work?
Would I be able to balance work and studies?
I knew students were expected to work twenty hours a week for tuition and accommodation, but the uncertainty still left me anxious. Nevertheless, I committed myself to doing whatever it took to make this dream a reality.
During orientation, I saw my opportunities materialise when we had the chance to apply for jobs. With my background as a motor mechanic and part-time driver, I was drawn to the Maintenance and Landscaping department.
I applied and was fortunate to be accepted.
I can already see how much I’ve grown. I had never driven a heavy-duty vehicle before, but now I’ve learned to operate a mini-truck and a tractor. I can now handle a riding mower and brush cutter. Through my work, I’m gaining valuable experience and exploring new skills that will help me in the future.
Being able to work and pay for my own tuition is not just a relief . . . it’s an empowering experience that has instilled a greater sense of responsibility and independence. It means so much to me to contribute to my own education. I am deeply grateful to African Christian College for this opportunity – something I once thought impossible. I’m excited about the continued growth awaiting me as I navigate my college journey.
Let’s discover your potential together.

This is very important considering the high costs of tuition to complete College Education more especially in my country Malawi, above all, the exposure to different cultures of Africa whilst in campus and the work internship provided, gives students a chance to prove their worth and a start pack after graduation. It’s my prayer to one day be a part of this wonderful family

The Tuition Assurance program at African Christian College has truly been a blessing in my academic journey. Like many students, I faced the overwhelming challenge of how to afford my tuition, but through the Work Study program, I’ve not only been able to cover my expenses but also gained invaluable skills and experiences. Being a part of this community has empowered me with responsibility and independence.
It’s amazing to see how God is opening doors for me to grow both academically and spiritually. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited for the future!
