As I stood staring at the end of the journey
I imagined how it would be to cross those rivers, climb the mountains, and endure the scorching sun.
It seemed near yet too far
The journey was appealing yet not void of challenges
I was determined to take the challenge
Because of the excitement, the journey seemed easy
I saw myself joyfully embarking on my ACC journey
I was faced with a new culture, new weather, and new friends
Everything was a new experience
It was a new challenge, but worth taking
Before we could fully adapt to the new environment
There came the pandemic that brought the whole world to its knees
It disrupted the normal flow of life
ACC was not spared, our chance was not spared
My educational journey came to a screeching end
I had no hope anymore; my dream was shattered
Out of nowhere, without expecting it
A call came to resume the journey that I had started
I jumped and grabbed it with both hands
I have eventually managed to cross those rivers, go up the mountains, and endure the scorching sun.
I have risen to the challenge, and here I am, looking back
It was near, yet too far
