Growth In & Out of Class: 2024 Graduate Francis Mloza

Life at African Christian College is like riding a roller coaster. There were many challenges to face and miles to cover in order to achieve something meaningful. The only way to seize the opportunity and embrace learning is to focus and be patient. My time at African Christian College was a transformative experience I will cherish forever.

One of my favourite and most challenging moments was when my fellow students chose me to represent them at work in the orchards. At first, I thought managing students and being a leader would be an easy task. I soon realised leadership is not as simple as it seems. This experience was not only educational but also allowed me to use emotional intelligence to better understand myself and those around me to achieve the goals and objectives in our macadamia work.

African Christian College’s greatest strength lies in encouraging students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Campus work is one such opportunity, and the different case studies in various courses enhance the learning process.

Francis Mloza, 2024 Graduate

African Christian College helped me grow in my attitude and thinking – inside and outside of class. The college has taught me how to think critically. I learned to approach challenges with a clear mind while maintaining focus and direction. Learning to prioritise and set goals helped me succeed academically (and overcome the challenge of managing my time and balancing studies with work). I was exposed to different beliefs and engaged in various discussions that deepened my spirituality. Working with people from diverse backgrounds opened my mind to different perspectives and helped me develop better interpersonal skills.

Before joining African Christian College, I had limited vision. Now, as I return home, I see the world with different eyes. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would dive even deeper into building more relationships, exploring new interests, and stepping out of my comfort zone.

African Christian College’s greatest strength lies in encouraging students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Campus work is one such opportunity, and the different case studies in various courses enhance the learning process. This hands-on experience has equipped me with practical skills to face the world.

My life at African Christian College was a roller coaster ride of change, challenges, and pleasant moments. I learned more about myself and the world beyond, and I have developed valuable life skills applicable outside of college.

You can experience holistic transformation, too.

Let’s explore together.
