My name is Grevin Khwatenge from Kenya, majoring in Organizational Leadership. Throughout my lifetime, I always had the passion and desire to be a soldier in our Kenyan army. However, I didn’t know that God had a different plan with me. To be sure, my desire to be a soldier was not misplaced; it was the kind of soldier I had to be that God changed. God wanted me to be a soldier in his army and win souls for his kingdom. When I came to African Christian College, I had knowledge about who God is, but it wasn’t in a broader way than what I have learnt here. Just like any soldier is trained before going to battle, I, also, have been trained and equipped to be an excellent service provider in the kingdom of God.
I’m a very happy person that soon I will be graduating because my coming here was facilitated by God himself. I have known him well and as I’m speaking right now, I’m a ready preacher who can stand and announce the good news to the world without fear for I now have a better understanding of the commander than I’m serving.
As I said earlier God brought me here and my main achievement when I came to this place was to learn about him and some other skills that can help me teach the word of God and be able to sustain myself. So far I feel so confident because I responded to the right call and I have achieved almost everything that I was hoping for. I love soccer, and it is one my tools that I would love to use to work with the youthful generation by helping them understand that one can be a better player if he or she tries to live a Christian life free from drugs and criminal activities.
African Christian College was the help I needed at the right time, and I feel like being here has filled the link that was missing from my life in order to truly flourish. I can’t wait to be unleashed for excellent service in the kingdom of God.
