Groomed for Godly Leadership – Simon Maanda

When I came here back in 2018, I had a lot of expectations and imagination about how the end will look like. Little did I know that my period will end the way it has come to an end.  Corona has changed everything, but I am glad because it has only strengthened my faith. I feel the damages that corona has caused but on a weighing scale, the blessings outweigh the damages.

Concerning my decision to come here, faith and knowledge about God were the major pull factors. I expected that I will grow in the knowledge of God and also become the leader that the world is looking for. I’m glad that my three years have not been spent in vain. None of my expectations was not met and achieved. I came with little knowledge about the Bible, but now I am going back with much knowledge about God and what he desires from his people. I am going back groomed how to lead people in a godly way, and with a degree to support my knowledge.

I plan to go back home to use the knowledge I have acquired here through teaching people the word of God, being a leader that the world desires to see. I will do so by demonstrating Christlike characters in the community where I will be working. I will also teach other leaders how to lead in a way that brings glory to God.

The knowledge that has got here has made a lot of impact on how my life should be in the community. All the teachings I have got have been about serving God in everything that we do. I am glad I am going back home with everything that I have. I believe I got the best weapon for the job that is waiting for me.
