My name is Kudzayi Suwari, from Zimbabwe. I was born in a family of five children, two boys and three girls. I was raised in a family of Church of Christ members.
When I finished school, I never got the opportunity to go somewhere to further my studies. I was staying home full-time doing nothing that could build up my life. I was someone who didn’t have any direction in life. I didn’t know who I wanted to become.
But coming to African Christian College opened a new page of my life on which I am finding satisfaction. Finally, I’m sure that I can be of service in God’s Kingdom. I believe God has a purpose for this special calling, and I am going to work very hard to get there. It wasn’t easy for me to get here. I faced many challenges in the process. But I thank God for helping me through.
I am planning to major in counselling because I believe in helping people. For me to be here, it was because of someone who spent much of her time, energy, and resources to help me find the meaning of life. That person is my aunt and I do respect her for playing that special role and for standing by my side when everybody else had given up on me. She motivated me in a way that was incredible. So, I believe there are people out there who have that same need.
I chose African Christian College because its mission is to glorify by equipping men and women for excellent service in the kingdom of God. It is my desire to work for the Lord. It was this mission statement which captured my attention and got me to wonder how I can be of service to God.
Therefore, I do appreciate much that I got accepted here. It is my wish that when I go back to my country, many will benefit from me by not taking their life for granted. I plan on having a wonderful time studying at African Christian College, and pray God continues blessing the whole African Christian College family.
