I got to know about African Christian College from one of the alumni in Malawi who shared great things with my family so much that we were eager be part of such an adventure. Making the decision to come was not easy for my family as we had to sacrifice a lot. My husband was working as banker, and I was a thriving businesswoman. However, after wrestling with the pros and cons, we decided to take the bull by the horns for the sake of developing ourselves academically.
As a businesswoman, I worked with a number of people who, most of them, were struggling psychologically, due to business difficulties. It then occurred to me that I should do something to help my partners/clients beyond just providing them with products, but also doing business counseling. Therefore, the opportunity to come to ACC came as an answered prayer, and the offer was indeed divine.
My life at the institution has been educative, both in and out of class. In class, I learned a lot in terms of my dream career. As an aspiring business counselor, I got exposed to courses that edified my knowledge base, not just in counseling but also in business and Christianity. Now, I am content that I have enough to make a difference in the business hemisphere.Out of class, I got to socialize with different people, learning a lot from the diverse cultures that are at the college. Spiritually, I also experienced drastic growth as I was exposed to activities like preaching, singing, and Bible discussions, which is something that women are not allowed to do where I come from.
Due to my husband’s previous job, we have always been moving around as he was constantly transferred from one place to the other and changing places has never been an issue until now. Spending three years with the incredible ACC community has been so great that we are struggling to imagine a day outside this place. The family that we have created with people from across the continent has been really engraved in our hearts, and we will undoubtedly miss them. My children are now even able to speak Siswati language, and they have made a lot of friends here, thus, leaving will really be painful, but we trust the Lord to lead us to greater heights.
I would like to thank the African Christian College leadership for such a wonderful opportunity that they are giving to Africans. From the President to the last person at the gate, on behalf of my family, I want to extend my sincere gratitude, and I pray that the Almighty God can continue to abundantly bless everyone who contributes to the success of the college.

God Bless you and your husband for making the big commitment to spend 3 years at ACC. May you be a blessing to all those you contact all the rest of your lives because of the lessons learned at ACC.
