Dr. Jan Meyer Meets her Purpose at ACC

What the Lord has started, he will see it through. Our new Development Director, Dr. Jan Meyer’s journey to African Christian College is indeed a testimony of God seeing through what he began. Meeting the President, Brad Carter, while he was still an undergraduate student at Abilene Christian University, she had no idea that through their relationship, God was moulding and shaping her for ACC. Jan’s desire in life has always been to follow whatever God is doing . Thus, having heard and seen the divine work and story of God in this institution, she feels blessed.   

Jan first learned about African Christian College when her former student and employee, Brad, had become the President of the college. Back then, she was still committed to her work at ACU as the Dean of Spiritual Formation, and also obtaining her doctorate on her field of expertise. After spending two decades of her life at the university, she asked God if there was more to her life than what she was doing in this season of life. And the Lord answered. She resigned at ACU and went to a camp in New Mexico where she worked as a development director. However, after two years, the feeling of something more haunted her again, but she didn’t realize what it was until God brought Brad back to the equation.

As they were talking about the possibility of Jan coming to teach in Eswatini, she felt like this is where God has been leading her for the last two years. And thus, when the offer came for her to help with fund development, she had no doubts, but to say yes. Since then she has been amazed about how quickly she has fallen in love with the ACC story and telling it to the people in the United States of America. Moreover, teaching at the college comes in as a cherry on top for Jan as she is enjoying every moment of it. Buckle up!!! God is really taking African Christian College to great heights.
