I am Zandile Thenjwayo from Swaziland. After completing high school, I searched for affordable tertiary institutions in Eswatini which offer quality education. Incredibly, my search led me to ACC. I then decided to verify its authenticity as I had suspected it might be a fly-by-night college since I had not known it before. So I decided visit its campus and gather more information about it. My suspicions were put to rest when they explained to me what the college was all about. The hospitality shown to me was unspeakable; it felt like home. Unfortunately for me, I was late to apply so I had to wait for the following year to enrol. Consequently, I patiently waited for my chance and here I am.
As a growing Christian it has always been in my prayers and wishes to study more about the Bible, because people are now confusing the world with strange teachings which are said to be in the Bible yet they are not. For that reason, I want to be a leader who will empower others by preaching and teaching the word of God.
Looking back, I didn’t know what kind of a Christian I was because I was being influenced by different preachers who taught contradicting messages. As a result, that totally confused me and led to a distorted view of my identity. However, there was in me the desire to know the word of God. As a young woman, I have been looking forward to be equipped and take the gospel message to the world, and the education I get from ACC will help me achieve that.
In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus talks of all authority in heaven and on earth being given to him and so he commands us to make disciples of all nations and baptize them. These words propelled my zeal to go and study theology so I can go and make disciples. As a woman I am proud to do theology as some people think it is only for men. I want to be a soul saving woman.
