Beginning this week we will be introducing our First Year students. We can promise you that their stories of how they came to ACC are very inspiring. It is always a joy to read about the sacrifices people continually make for the Kingdom of God. We are blessed to have this group here with us, and to be the place they chose for their preparation for excellent service in the kingdom. We start with a gentlemen from Botswana.
My name is Goitsemang Bonolo from Botswana, a 22 year old young man. As a child, I always thought that we always get what we wanted in life. I lived with this thought for over 18 years. After I finished my BGCSE in 2015, I gave my life to Christ. This is where my conviction of always getting what you want was put to the test. While I was in the process of transformation as a novice Christian, I began to gradually change from that idea and see things the way Christ wants me to see them.
In the process of waiting for my results in the same year, the preacher of the congregation in Francistown, Diamond L Diamond, told me that there is a Bible college in Swaziland that he wanted to recommend to me. I was still young to understand spiritual things and their importance in one’s life hence I overlooked the idea. When I received my results, I went to University of Botswana in Gaborone, the Capital city, and enrolled for a degree course in Computing with Finance.
As years went by, I could notice my spiritual growth because I was involved in the activities of the church. In 2016, a preacher from Gaborone, Dennis Malepa, introduced Bible corresponding courses to me, and I became interested in them, so I enrolled for them whilst continuing with my university course on the other hand. I did that for over a year and I was so absorbed that I ended up not caring much about the Finance course I was pursuing. He officially introduced ACC to me before the end of my 5th semester, third year of my study in the University.
So when the semester ended, I was supposed to re-write some courses, but I decided to ditch them and come to ACC for I believed that this is what God wanted me to do. I believe the choice that I have made is taking me closer to living my life in a way that pleases God. My greatest aspiration right now is to be a minister of God’s Word in order to bring more people closer to the transforming power of the Gospel. I am enthusiastically looking forward to a great three years of growth here.
