Today we introduce a young man from the Kingdom of Eswatini. Simiso is a person with a passion for children and dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the society through the Gospel. Here is his story.
My journey to ACC started last year when I was about to graduate in a local university. A question popped up in my head: what do you want to do after graduation? Since I already knew the answer, I said to myself, “to do something that will positively impact the society.” But then I didn’t think of African Christian College or studying theology, at least not until I shared my sudden feeling with a friend who is a student at the college. As he was narrating to me about possibilities of enrolling, the voice again said to me that is where you need to be next in your career path.
It was also then that I realised that there is only one way to bring a positive impact wherever, and that is living out and preaching the word that brings life – the word of God. Thus, being a believer, I applied in person and obviously through the grace of God, I was successfully accepted to the class of 2020.
Having been at African Christian College for four months now, I can just sum it all up to one word ‘love.’ From the president, lectures, staff, students to the children running around the campus, there is a divine atmosphere of oneness, despite being from divergent backgrounds and diverse cultures. Most importantly, each and every day I spend at this community, I can feel the physical, spiritual and emotional transformation and reformation.
I feel at peace with my soul because I’m empowered both intellectually and physically by the day to day encounters and activities. From the lectures to the chapel services, the environment is conducive for one to take their spiritual level to a greater height. There is no other place that I can possibly wish to be right now except here. I can now say with boldness that I know my calling to glorify God with my life will be perfectly nurtured. God bless African Christian College.
