My name is Esau Timothy Ruheta, a citizen of Tanzania. I came to African Christian College in 2015 and spent the past three years here. I am married with three children. I came here with two leaving one behind who was close to his final examination. After two years I took back to Tanzania one of the two children who was with me here and remaining with only one child.
This was my first time to be out of my country. Even though Tanzania is a multi-cultural country, we have many commonalities. However, when I came to this side of Africa, I faced a lot of differences, in culture, food, clothing, weather, worship and many others. In the three years of interacting with all these diversities, I have been built; I am going home a different person, and with a different perspective.
ACC is generally a good place to stay, and I really appreciate the services I have received with my entire family for the three year period. These services include food, accommodation, electricity, water, education, etc. For a person to accommodate you and your family for three years, providing all those services, is neither a joke nor a cheap thing. We really appreciate.
As I am going home, I am set for any of the three options; (a) Employment, (b) Further education (c) Self-employment. (Serving in the church will be a part time thing). The last option is something that I will do regardless of which of first two options I take. ACC’s curriculum is well packaged, especially for the Organizational Leadership major. Wherever you go, you are well equipped. Whether you go for employment, further study, self-employment, and serving in the church, you are well set up for it. The college has done its part, and we appreciate. It is our duty to put what we have learnt into practice. Best wishes.
