Coming all the way from Malawi, Watipatsa Gomanjira is full of enthusiasm now that he is going back. He is eager to begin work in the kingdom through sharing the knowledge he got from ACC. Here is his story.
I loved African Christian College before I set my eyes on it. It is one of the few schools which teach Bible, leadership, Counselling and Ministry courses in Africa. When I look at ACC I picture it as a mother, therefore now that I am older, my responsibility is to take care of her for the rest of my life.
ACC has equipped me and many Africans through its well qualified lectures from within Africa and abroad by means of imparting rich knowledge concerning the Bible, global awareness, community living, church leadership, servant leadership, etc. ACC has also changed my life for the better in ways of living in peace and harmony with different people from different countries. I have learned to respect and appreciate diverse cultures through living with such people. I have also learned the real meaning of true love in this limited time I spent at ACC. For these reasons, I will always revere everyone who has given their support to the school in different ways. Blessed are those who remember ACC in their prayers.
My love for this school is such that I would be angry and sad when people tease ACC, not smile when they start talking bad things about it, and always fight the fires when needed. Yes, just like any other school, ACC has its weaknesses but it works hard to try to change to the better. This school has produced many quality leaders in most African countries. I will forever pray for ACC and will love and be proud of it – our school and our institution – African Christian College.
Lastly, I am going back to Malawi fully equipped with various knowledge which I’m ready to share with various people back home. This knowledge includes community development, entrepreneurship, HIV/AIDS, church growth and many other things. I believe God will help me to do his will of helping poor people and the church through preaching the message of his kingdom.
