“Thank You ACC For Moulding Me” – Dan Muwuliza

About the College

Before coming to African Christian College (ACC), I thought that very few things can challenge my life because I had been a college student before. It was until I came to ACC that I realised that I was wrong. What I was taught from my former college was just little knowledge compared to what I was supposed to get here. I am proud of the knowledge and skills that I have attained and I plan to use them for the benefit of others and my family.

ACC does a great job of teaching and equipping students with skills which are applicable to their lives compared to most universities. I once got an opportunity of studying in a college, but the lecturers only covered only 40% of the work and 60% was left for the students to cover by themselves. This is not the case with ACC; instead it is the opposite. This method of teaching helped me to understand most of the concepts of the courses I was taught.

My life at ACC

In my first year, I thought that I will not manage to complete my degree, but I thank God and the members of staff for the encouragement and support they provided me with. I regard these men and women as my parents because only parents can sacrifice their time to ensure that their child performs at his or her best abilities. All members of staff did a great job in helping me succeed.

I cannot forget the students. Through courses like Cultural Anthropology, I was able to understand my fellow students, which made it possible for me to build strong relationships with them. Moreover, they also played a big part in seeing to it that I also made it. Some courses and through studying the Bible helped me to start seeing people from a different angle, and loving them because they are created in the image of God.

ACC has helped me grow spiritually as compared to the way I was before. This became possible because of having men and women of the staff who modelled for me what it means to live a Christlike life. Not only that, but also, the opportunities that ACC provides – such as preaching and presenting in class – helped me gain skills on how to interpret and understand the Bible.

I would love to end by thank ACC for moulding me so that I can go into the world to mould others, but most importantly, to go and mould my family and community in a God fearing way.
