ACC alumnus making a difference in his community
“Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 (NLT)
Victor Elisha; an ACC alumnus, has responded to the call of God just as Isaiah did! He has decided to make the best out of the skills and knowledge he acquired at ACC to make a difference in his community; Awendo sub county, Nyanza Province and surrounding areas in Kenya.
Victor has teamed up with some of his church members in conducting farming workshops as way to teach the community and schools ways to make a living and combat poverty. As a form of motivation, certificates of participation are awarded to students who attend the farming workshops.
Victor has tremendously impacted the lives of prisoners in Homabay by sharing with them the word of God and sourcing foodstuffs for the inmates. Eleven inmates have surrendered their lives to Christ in that prison so far. Moreover, Victor also teaches the inmates farming techniques to help them with their day-to-day needs and give them alternative sources of income once they go back to join their communities.
African needs more pragmatic workers in the kingdom of God like Victor to take part in delivering good service to the kingdom of God and Africa at large.
