Dennis Chintelelwe (2015 graduate, Zambia)
African Christian College’s 2015 graduate; Dennis Chintelelwe from Zambia has undertaken the call to bring development to the rural communities in his country. The following report elaborates more on the work he is involved in:
I graduated from African Christian College in December 2015 with a degree in theology; organisational leadership major. Soon after graduation, I went straight into church work and farming. In January 2016, I was called to be trained by an American government department that train young African leaders in civic leadership in South Africa. This training took place at the University of South Africa in Midland and it lasted for one month seven days. This was just before I started developmental activities in the rural communities.
Furthermore, when I came back from the training in South Africa, an Italian organization which is empowering small scale farmers in Luwingu asked me to assist them in training their workers in leadership skills. My other role was to provide the farmers with knowledge on how to budget and manage their finances in order to attain sustainable development. It was my pleasure to join the rural communities in Luwingu (Zambia) and be part of making Africa a better place, thanks to the knowledge I acquired from ACC through God’s grace.
Moreover, I was chosen to be a ward development representative to local governments of which the term of office is five years. The blessings from God kept showering on me and my family as the Electoral Commission of Zambia also called me for a five days’ workshop of training on voter’s education. I was deployed on contract of 45 days to facilitate voters education and teach the bill of Rights.
Finally, I look back and thank God on how he took me to the right college (ACC) that equipped me with the relevant skills and knowledge that has made me a useful vessel in my country. I believe the fullness of my cup of blessings is a sign that God can call anyone to impact lives.
