My name is Gcin’muzi Collin Dlamini, a Swazi. At my time at African Christian College I took a counselling major. I am glad that I will be walking away with a B.Th. degree.
I knew about ACC, but I never saw myself studying here.
Little did I know that I wanted to rob myself off the rich knowledge about God and how I can be of service in ushering people into his kingdom. I am really grateful that I finally came here, because my three years of studying has greatly transformed me.
ACC has not only equipped me academically, but it has also challenged and nurtured me both intellectually and spiritually. Three years of interacting with students and lecturers from different ethnicities throughout the world, I have grown to appreciate the diversity we share as a human race and still be in harmony and love one another. I have also learnt to agree and to disagree with both lecturers and students with love and still accept and value each other’s differences, thoughts, and ideas.
The studies that I gained will greatly help me as I go out into the world and in my day-to-day life as I interact with different people. I will be able to humbly disagree with them (where there is need) with love and still respect their opinions.
Because of the love I have for the environment and due to the effects of global warming and other greenhouse effects I have witnessed, I volunteered to be part of the recycle team when I came to ACC. Together with this team, I did the best I could to be eco-friendly and reduce carbon gases through collecting recyclable materials on campus for recycling instead of burning. This volunteer work ended up to be a full time job as a Recycle Coordinator.
After ACC I am planning to further my studies and I am also willing to let the Lord lead me wherever he want me to serve. I would like to encourage anyone who is thinking of coming to ACC to not hesitate doing so, because you will never regret being part of this family. You will experience the hand of God transforming you in an unbelievable way.
To the current students and lecturers, keep on doing the good work and keep the fire burning! Remember, “Those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak” (GSB).
