A new year brings new students, new visiting lecturers, new dorms, new library name, and new hope!
A new year is always an exciting time — especially on our campus when we many exciting things are happening.
Today begins the first full week of classes. Everyone is settled in and ready for the challenges of classwork, studying, soccer, work, volunteer projects, and hands-on learning activities.
Classes officially began on Thursday of last week. They include the following courses: Conflict Resolution, Church Planting and Growth, Theories of Counselling I, School Guidance & Counselling, Project Leadership, Prophets, Romans & Galatians, and Hermeneutics. The first year students are getting ready for their academic success with English I, Computer Skills, Communication, Maths, and Spiritual Formation.
We welcomed 9 new students and their families to campus from Lesotho, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zambia. Their families include 5 young daughters who join the other 14 student children on campus.
ACC has 38 students enrolled so far this year — more could arrive in the next few days — from 7 countries: Burundi, Lesotho, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zambia. With three additional nations represented by staff (Mozambique, USA, and Zimbabwe), ACC is truly an international community.
Please be in prayer for our students, their families, and another year of preparing African women and men for excellent service in God’s kingdom.
