This post is part of a series of posts from our graduating third year students. Today’s post is from Joan Chebet from Kenya. On 29 November 2014, she graduated with her Bachelor of Theology degree from African Christian College with a major in Counselling.
It is very easy to achieve what we want if we include God in our plans and remain focused on what brought us here. Obviously there is nothing that comes on a silver plate until more effort is instilled for something good to appear. I am so happy to have my degree which I believe I did my best to acquire.
However, I thank African Christian College for equipping me to serve in the kingdom of God. I have really gained a lot as far as theology, counselling, and extra training that we received outside class is concerned. I have gained knowledge and different skills in and outside class. Through the work, I have been able to meet all my needs for three years which I really thank God for that.
Now I have a strong passion to go and help people in my church, family, community, and even schools if there is a need. I plan to offer my counselling services in love and share my knowledge with them. My family also plans to have our own project to sustain our family.
Otherwise I urge the remaining students to work smart towards their goal because with God everything is possible. I love you all and may the almighty God continue being with you.
