Ready to take over the world

(Photo of Lerato)
Lerato Mavuso, Swaziland

When I began my journey at ACC I was young and did not know much; I was just fresh from high school.

The first six months I could not take it. In my first year I wanted to go back home. I felt everything was just too hard for me and the expectation that people had made me want to vanish. I wondered why my congregation members were being so hard on me, especially Kurt Platt.

I remembered that I was born in the church and grew up in it. So, the people that I knew as just congregation members became mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters. With that in mind, I promised myself never to give up no matter how hard it became.

Just the other day I was siting in class and looked at each of my classmates and thought to myself, “WOW! We came, we saw, we conquered”. Now I leave ACC a new person, ready to take over the world and make a difference. And I feel now I can say: I am glad I came to ACC.

Thank you African Christian College.
