Meet our first years! In the first few weeks of 2013, our first year students had a class assignment in Computer Skills to type a personal introduction and tell “Why am I at African Christian College?” In this series, you get to meet the students in their own words…
My name is Bright Himakampa, coming from a lovely and friendly country Zambia.
Zambia is one of the rich countries in Africa which is rich in natural and mineral resources such as copper, geographical features such as the mighty Victoria Falls, and blessed with normal rainfall (just to mention a few).
I was born in 1987 on 11 September, in a balanced family of three men and three women as a fourth born. I did my primary and secondary education in the same country Zambia and obtained a grade twelve certificate in 2007.
My life was not easy trying to attain high learning in high institutions like college from the time I completed in 2007 until 2012. Last year, being accepted by some colleges in Zambia but unable to report due to some lack of money for tuition fees.
In my entire life since the time I started school, I always dreamed of becoming successful through my education. I was trying to do something concerning school since the time I completed my secondary level, but I could not due to lack of sponsorship.
Until God blessed me in another way by my acceptance to African Christian College in Swaziland last year. From that time, I came to understand that God blesses on His planned time.
Being at ACC
God blessed me for being accepted at ACC to come and study, my being here at ACC has a lot to do with whom I will be in years to come. I came here…
- To study and learn theology and obtain a degree
- To study and learn about psychology, that’s majoring in counseling by obtaining a degree.
And above all, to get equipped about the Word of God, so that we can go out there and proclaim the Word of God in our communities, countries, continent, and the world at large. To God be the glory.
