FF Training Game
Learning language games to use with Firm Foundations Literacy program.

Trainers from Bible League International spent the week at African Christian College leading students, faculty, and locals through facilitation training for the Firm Foundations Literacy programme.

Each facilitator spent over 12 hours — outside their regular classes — to be certified as a trainer by Ted York, Carol Maples, and Shadrack Molosiwa of Bible League International. A graduation ceremony was held on Friday where each student was presented their certificate as facilitators.

Firm Foundations uses proven strategies for teaching literacy using the Bible. The training this week was for English, but the strategies and materials are available and can be used in a variety of languages (including siSwati!).

As facilitators our students may now use these strategies — and the resources provided by Bible League International — to teach others how to read while also sharing God’s story and the Gospel with them.
