My name is Agnes Maurana. I was born on 10 March 1991. I was born in Marondera Hospital (Zimbabwe). I come from a family of eight, mother, father and six children, myself being the second born and the eldest sister. Our place of origin is Mozambique, but my parents are farmers in the resettlements in Marondera. I was baptised on 23 September 2007 at Igava Mission Church of Christ, where I have also worked as the clerk for the past five years.
I am a mother to Passion/ Prominent Masvaya with my husband, Ngonidzashe Masvaya. African Christian College is a place where I am improving my education and also I’m being empowered on different jobs at this institute. This institution will raise my standards of learning, improve my level of understanding the word of God, and spur my spiritual growth to greater heights.
In the future, I want to help those in need. After I completed my degree, I want to work in providing aid to those who are unemployed by giving them clothes, blankets and even food. For, the orphans I hope to be given the power and means help them through education, clothes, food and shelter. Furthermore, I would like to teach the word of God to those who don’t know him, and expand his kingdom through singing hymns and preaching.
I have a heart for taking the Gospel to those who aren’t yet touched by its power. Some people in the church have become resistant to preaching because they have a mentality that they know everything. So the work continues to be with the lost, just as it has always been there. ACC is the right place for me to be at in order to be equipped for the plans and work I aim to do once I finish.
